Citizen Bond Committee Recommendations

The Saginaw Citizens’ Bond Committee met a total of six times since September 2019 to review the City’s Capital Improvements Plan. They reviewed presentations from consultants and staff regarding finance, community facilities (buildings), streets and parks. They toured existing facilities and had the opportunity to discuss what they believed would be in the best interest of the City as a whole in preparing recommendations to the City Council regarding long range planning and prioritizing projects for voters to consider in a May 1, 2021 election.

The Committee was asked to prioritize $100 million in projects for long range planning. At their meeting on November 18, 2019, they were able to accomplish this objective. The following list of projects were agreed upon by all in attendance and is provided for your consideration.
