Water Division
The Saginaw Water Department maintains a water supply system following the guidelines set forth by the Texas Commission of Environmental Quality (TCEQ), the Texas Water Development Board, and the United States Environmental Protection Agency for human consumption and fire safety. Staff monitors the distribution system through the use of a Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) system. Staff responsibilities include:
- Checking Quality Assurance
- Cleaning Pump Sites
- Ensuring Adequate Pressure Throughout the Distribution System
- Installing New Lines
- Keeping Accurate Records of Distribution Flow
- Maintaining and Repairing Existing Lines
- Maintaining Meters, Boxes, and Valves
- Reporting to TCEQ

- After business hours, residents can report a leak by calling the non-emergency police department line at 817-230-0311.
- The City is responsible for repairing leaks present from the curb to the meter.
